Born in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Doto University in 2012.
The artist’s practice centers on recording time and environments shaped by human presence through painting.
Beginning with daily sketches and photographs, the artist reconstructs images using print-based methods while working with familiar motifs such as figures, urban spaces, and interior scenes. Rather than directly depicting emotions or explicit narratives, the work focuses on traces of time, atmosphere, and environmental changes that remain after human involvement.
In this practice, printmaking is understood not simply as a technique for reproducing images, but as a printing act that transfers and records traces of experienced moments and events. The temporal gap and transformation that occur between drawing and printing function as a method of preserving events with distance, rather than representing them immediately.
Earlier works explored perspectives that view humans as a species or collective phenomenon, depicting artificially developed cities and crowds gathered at tourist destinations. In recent years, the artist has shifted away from placing the human figure at the center of the composition, instead juxtaposing motifs such as flowers in vases and domestic spaces to approach human presence as a trace.
The plants and animals depicted in these works are not treated as purely natural or decorative subjects, but as elements that contain and reveal lived time and human absence. By closely observing interior scenes with flowers and vases, as well as the light and air embedded in their surroundings, the artist attempts to retain sensations of time that are both personal and universal, quietly preserving the atmosphere of everyday life within painting.

人間に関わる時間や環境を、絵画として記録することを主題に制作を行っている。
日々のスケッチや写真を起点とし、版画的な手法によって再構成しながら人物や都市、室内風景といった身近なモチーフを扱っている。そこでは感情や主題を直接的に描写するのではなく、人が関与したあとに残る時間や空気、環境の変化に目を向けている。
制作において版画技法は、図像を複製するための手法というよりも、一度経験された時間や出来事を痕跡として転写・記録するための印刷行為として捉えている。描くことと刷ることのあいだに生じる時間差や変換のプロセスは、出来事を即時的に表現するのではなく、距離を置いて留めるための重要な方法として位置づけられている。
これまで、人工的に形成されていく都市や観光地に集まる人々の姿を通して、人間を一つの種族や現象として捉える視点を提示してきた。近年は人物を主題として前面に配置するのではなく、花瓶に入れられた花や生活空間といったモチーフと並置しながら、人の存在を痕跡として捉える表現へと関心を移している。そこに描かれる動植物は、自然や装飾としての対象ではなく、人の生活や不在を内包した時間を示すものとして扱っている。
花や花瓶のある室内風景や、背景に含まれる光や空気の気配に注視しながら、私的でありながらも普遍的な時間の感触や、生活の気配を絵画として留めることを試みている。
